Security at Woodhouse Nursery

Woodhouse Nursery work closely with the local authority and the Sheffield Safeguarding Hub to ensure that we are doing everything possible to safeguard everyone that uses our nursery. We adhere to all the requirements in place by our governing bodies so that our  nursery is a safe place for our children to thrive and for our team to work.

Our nursery building is secure by operating the following safety measures.

• CCTV is operational in all rooms and on the main door which delivers  a live feed to a screen monitored by the management team  and directors.
• Our security system for entering the building means that people coming into the nursery must be accepted in by a staff member once we are aware of who is entering and the reason for their visit. Key codes are needed at two separate points when entering the nursery and only staff have the passcodes.
• We have additional security procedures in place for collection of children which is part of our admission process and must be completed by people with parental responsibility.

Our whole building including our outside play areas are not accessible by unauthorised personnel and parents can leave their children in our care with the peace of mind that they are safe and secure and ready to learn.
