Our Team at Woodhouse Nursery

We have a dedicated and passionate team at Woodhouse Nursery that bring many qualities, strength and a wealth of knowledge. All our staff complete an in depth induction and  meet all the legal requirements stipulated in the Statutory Framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage . (EYFS). This includes all our staff to have completed paediatric first aid training,  DBS check and  gained the relevant qualifications.


The Nursery Directors and Owners play a key role in our nursery which is lead by our Nursery

Manager: Lisa Caddick .

Our staff team consists of:

Nursery Manager: Lisa Caddick . Deputy Manager: Claire Hanwell.

Team Leaders
Each childcare age group and room is led by a qualified senior member of staff who has a wealth of experience. In some room this role is job shared between two team leaders.

Early Years Practitioners
All our staff are permanent members of our team and are all qualified to deliver care and education to children that attend our nursery.

Early Years Teacher
Our Early Years Teacher is based in our preschool and is a key member in supporting children for school readiness.

Key person
Each child is allocated a key person when they attend our nursery to help them become familiar to our nursery.  We believe that children settle best when they have a key person to relate to, who knows them and their parents well. Our key person approach is committed to building secure relationships in which children thrive and parents have confidence.

HYGGE FLAGSHIP ACCREDITED:  Awarded outstanding. Accredited by Tiny Hands Big Futures Flagship Nurseries.  We provide an environment and resources where children can learn in the moment using loose parts and natural materials where possibilities are endless. This enables children to use different ways of thinking through awe and wonder.


Start Well: Awarded the Gold Star Award for the National Start Well Program.  We provide the best start for children.  Children gain understanding of keeping healthily through physical activity, healthy eating and personal hygiene. Children learn about healthily lifestyles and choices that supports good physical, mental health and emotional well-being.


ESCAL Award: Accredited ESCAL Quality Mark Award. We provide a literacy rich environment that supports children’s early language and communication development.  Our teaching approach scaffolds learning for children to become confident communicators which supports children to achieve across the whole curriculum and supports them in life experiences.
