Poppys Room Under2s Age Group

Welcome to our Poppy room where we focus on playing, exploring  and discovering as this supports children to thrive across all aspects of their development.

Our main aim is to ensure children feel comfortable, safe and secure. This will enable children to be confident in their learning experiences, begin to make sense of the world around them and be ready for their next step into our Buttercup room.

Children are naturally sociable, and this is embedded in everyday activities, using different ways of communication to support early language development and building relationships along the way.

Communication is achieved both verbally and non verbally.  We teach our children Makaton which is a simple way of communication using sign language and spoken words together. We are always impressed on how our young children pick this up so quickly. 

All children are individual and unique and we provide a stimulating and nurturing environment to ensure that children learn and thrive to their full potential. Our daily routine is flexible to support each child.  We pride ourselves on our welcoming, warm atmosphere that very young children need when coming to a nursery for possibility the first time. We respect the importance of continuity between  home and nursery for both yourself and your child.

Our Poppy room is for children aged 6 weeks to 2 years and we operate  a 1 adult to 3 children  ratio  where our staff team are passionate, caring and very friendly.
