COVID-19

Due to the outbreak of the pandemic, we would like to assure all parents and carers that we are doing everything we reasonably can to keep you, your child and our staff safe whilst attending our nursery.

In line with Government guidance parents and carers are no longer allowed access into the nursery to drop off or collect children due to social distancing and the health & safety measures required.

Whilst you may find this unsettling and upsetting, it is necessary to protect everyone and to help reduce the risk of the spread of infection.

At this time we have no additional guidance as to when this may change so please be patient and prepared that this temporary measure could be in place for many months to come.  If you have any concerns or queries about your child then please ring the nursery to discuss as we are unable to do this at drop off or collection due to confidentiality.

Should you, your child or anyone in your household display any symptoms then you must not attend nursery under any circumstances and you must notify us immediately.  You must arrange to have a test.  If your child tests positive then they must not attend nursery for 10 days minimum starting from the date of the test and can only return if they are well.  If the test result is negative then they may return to nursery on their next booked in session but you will be required to evidence the negative results before they can attend.

If a nursery staff member tests positive for Covid-19 in either your child’s bubble or room and there has been close contact, we will advise that your child must self-isolate and not attend nursery for 14 days.  Fees will be charged at 50% of the usual weekly rate in order to retain your child’s place.

In all other instances where your child has to self-isolate or has a positive test result and cannot attend nursery, fees will be charged at their normal rate.

We are regularly updating our safety plan & procedures for parents, risk assessments and our general practices and would ask that you please observe them along with all our notices and support us through this challenging time as they are designed to keep us all safe.

For further information please either Email: info@woodhousenursery.co.uk or alternatively call 0114 269 3929 and ask for Lisa or Emma
